Taylor visits Iowa City

HawkeyeReport.com Iowa commit Laron Taylor made his official visit with the Hawkeyes this weekend, which gave him a chance to sit down and talk with the coaching staff about his future. We caught up with Taylor, a 6-foot-0, 205-pound linebacker, to get an update on the trip and much more.
Q: How did it go at Iowa this weekend?
TAYLOR: It was good. I liked it a lot and had a lot of fun.
Q: What were some of the highlights for you?
TAYLOR: We got to go out with our hosts and they showed us around and then we got to go to Coach Ferentz's house this morning and eat breakfast.
As a senior, Taylor finished with 98 tackles, five forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries as he helped lead Cass Tech to a state championship. In August, he committed to the Hawkeyes over scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, and Western Michigan.
