Gentry receiving Junior Day Invites
Grandview athlete Tanner Gentry is doing what he can this off-season to prove he is a Division I football player. He has the attention of a number of coaches and that includes five junior day invites.
"Yeah, a few schools have. It has been BYU, CU, Arizona State, CSU, and Wyoming also."
Gentry has a number of other after him as well.
"I am getting letters from Wisconsin, Illinois, and Notre Dame. I've been trying to contact those coaches to get them on the phone and talk to them."
Camps are something that will allow Gentry to shine in front of coaches.
"I'm going to the Nike camp in Oakland and the Nike Football Training camp as well. I'm thinking about going to Arizona State, Stanford, and definitely CU. I'm thinking about finding another one too."
Gentry is working hard to prepare himself for a busy summer slate.
"It has been going good. I've been training at a place called House of Speed and just working on my speed and stuff like that. I've been lifting and that is going good."
The focus will remain the same for Gentry.
"It is pretty much the same stuff. I'll be working on my speed and I'm trying to put on ten pounds. It is stuff like that."
