It came down to two.
In a July 1 interview with InsideHilltopperSports.com, three-star offensive lineman Chris Huhn had four teams on his final list.
WKU, Louisville, Toledo, and Ohio.
But on July 13, the rising senior had it narrowed down to two teams.
And one stuck out.
"I narrowed it down to Western Kentucky and Toledo," Huhn said. "It was kind of neck and neck for a bit.
"I just ended up thinking Western Kentucky was the best place for me. I love the atmosphere, I love the people, I love the coaches, the area. It just seems like the best place for me, and I couldn't picture myself anywhere else."
The three-star offensive lineman informed Coach Taggart of his commitment over the phone.
"Coach Taggart answered the phone and said 'I'm looking for some great news'," Huhn said. "I told him, 'I'm ready to be a Hilltopper'.
"Then he went crazy. It was awesome."
With his commitment now out of the way before his senior season starts, Huhn has one big goal in mind for his final year of high school.
"Lead my team to a lot of wins, for sure," Huhn said. "Then I have a teammate, Roland Ladipo, I want to try to get him to Western Kentucky with me.
"He hasn't been looked at by as many schools because he wasn't used much last year, but he's amazing."
Huhn's commitment vaults WKU over Arkansas State and Florida International in the Rivals Sun Belt team recruiting rankings.
As of today, WKU now sits in first place in the Rivals Sun Belt team recruiting rankings.
