Beh makes the call
Noah Beh.Penn State's recruiting class is roughly two-thirds complete following the commitment of Scranton offensive lineman
The three-star had been considering Boston College in addition to the Nittany Lions, only to decide on Saturday to end his recruitment and join Bill O'Brien and his staff.
"The one thing that really always stood out to me is the character of the players that will be surrounding him," said Jim Beh, Noah's father. "When these players all rallied behind their seniors and coaches last year, it spoke so highly of the kind of guys that my son will be playing with. That's so important to me and it's a big reason why I want Noah to play here."
Beh had 10 total offers, including such programs as Connecticut, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Temple and Virginia. While the majority of programs saw potential on the defensive line, Beh will most likely end up at offensive tackle for the Nittany Lions.
"Most schools wanted him for defense. We actually had Florida State call recently, asking about defensive end and tight end. He's athletic enough to play a few positions. That's another thing the Penn State coaches have mentioned to us, they like his versatility."
Beh is the first offensive or defensive lineman to join Penn State's Class of 2014. He's also a solid basketball player, as he gathered a look at center from La Salle.
Blue White Illustrated will have much more on Beh once he becomes available tonight or tomorrow.
