Second Muhammad Verbals Wyoming
Dave Christensen's staff offered current Cowboy linebacker Ghaali Muhammad's brother and he accepted on Tuesday after the recent visit to Laramie.
Malkaam Muhammad, a 6-foot and 210 pound running back/linebacker from St Joseph, Mo. made a trip to Laramie to visit his brother and talked with the UW coaches before giving them a verbal.
The Central High School product is located in a prime recruiting area for Christensen who has a good feel for football played in the state and likes to get an early start on prospects.
The younger Muhammad, much like is brother is a top notch athlete who would be looked at multiple positions for the Pokes.
Ghaali signed with Christensen's first class at Wyoming in 2009, while coming to Laramie with the potential to play several different positions, though he is now settled at starting outside linebacker, while playing as a true-freshmen for the Cowboys last fall.
Malkaam ran for 721 yards and eight touchdowns and caught 19 passes for another 186 yards during his junior season with Central. He also led the team in scoring and made 11 total tackles on defense with two forced fumbles.
Malkaam's commitment to Wyoming looks like a soft verbal at this point with other schools on his radar including Iowa State and Florida International.
