Reese Remains Committed To Wyoming
The Cowboys first commitment of 2011 in safety Chad Reese stays strongly in the Cowboys corner, while preparing for his final season at Tyler High School in Texas.
The 5-foot-11 and 175 pounder said he followed the Pokes first three games of the season and attended the UW-Texas game in Austin two weeks ago.
"I went to the game at Austin and checked them out and liked some of the things they did against Texas," Reese said. "I watched the Boise game on TV and thought a few plays changed that game."
The Tyler, Texas native is recruited by defensive back coach Alex Grinch, who he stays in contact with frequently.
The entire coaching staff at Wyoming, along with the passionate fan base convinced Reese to commit early to the program.
"I like the scheme, I like the coaching staff and the family atmosphere," said Reese. "I also like the fact it's the only school in Wyoming and the fans rally around them."
Reese said Grinch and himself decided on a visit to Laramie sometime in December after the season.
"I tried to get up there early, but with our football seasons conflicting, I haven't been able to make the visit," said Reese. "I look forward to making the trip."
The safety prospect recently was upgraded to three stars by Rivals.com and playing at the competitive Texas high school ranks made his appealing to the Cowboys.
"They like my ability to tackle in space, my quickness and reading offenses and reacting to the play," said Reese. "I will need to continue to work on my focus, become bigger and stronger to compete at another level of football. I need to keep God first and keep it in perspective."
Reese continues to receive interest from variety of college, including officials offers from Memphis, Texas-San Antonio, and Stephen F. Austin. He has heard from coaches at Louisiana Tech and Texas Tech.
