Texas RB Commits To Wyoming
The Wyoming Cowboys hosted several prospect visits in Laramie over the weekend of December 4th, looking to solidify current commitments and they picked up a verbal from a Texas High School running back Kody Sutton.
Sutton is a 5-foot-9 and 190 pound all-purpose running back from Texarkana and will likely be the only running back the Cowboys sign in 2011.
The Pokes return Alvester Alexander, Nehemie Kankolongo and plan on moving linebacker Ghaali Muhammad over to the back position and look to have filled their quote with the Sutton commitment.
Sutton will bring the Cowboys a quick, elusive prospect who runs and catches the ball out of the backfield well. He plays in a state deep at the running back position, in terms of division one prospects.
Sutton has received all-district 13-4A recognition while emassing over a 1000 all-purpose yards for Texas High School.
Cowboys long snapper commitment Zach Ewan was selected to the Under Armour All-American game, considered one of the most prestigious all-star games.
The Cowboys are expected to have 7-to-12 additional prospects visits in Laramie this weekend of December 11th.
The Pokes plan on using the entire 25 scholarship allotment in 2011 and are 14 commits away from the maximum number.
