Ward might wait on decision

Marcus Ward would like nothing more than to make a decision this month.

The Vestavia Hills, Ala., defensive back however won't make a commitment just for the sake of getting it over with. If he is not ready before the season starts then he will hold off for a while.

"I wanted to make a decision before this season coming up," Ward said. "But now if I don't have what I want then I'm going to wait. I just wanted to go ahead and get something down in the meantime so I know what I have to do and have it in my head so I don't have to worry about it during the season. I want to focus on the season and not worry about anything college-wise."

Ward has already picked up scholarship offers from Air Force, Memphis, Pennsylvania, South Alabama, UAB and Wofford. He is also gaining interest from Alabama, Clemson, Duke, Georgia Tech, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Auburn and Tennessee.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder recently made a camp stop at Mississippi State and enjoyed getting to know the Bulldogs staff and their surroundings.
