Austin enjoys company

Marvin Austin said his visit to Notre Dame included many highlights. But the 6-foot-3, 300-pound defensive tackle from Washington, D.C., thought the best part of the Blue-Gold Game weekend came when he met the other top players visiting campus.


"The funnest part was to just hang out with the players and the other top players in the country to see what they thought about the school," he said. "I had a great time."


Austin has already received scholarship offers from most of the top college football programs in the country. This visit gave him the chance to see one of those schools up close.


"I got to see campus for myself," he said. "It's Notre Dame. It was fun and I got to see Touchdown Jesus."
