Marve wide open, gets local offer

With quarterback as a priority, Mississippi State is out beating the bushes for prospects, and one that has made their early list of offers is Tampa, Fla., Plant signal-caller Robert Marve.

He has not begun to narrow his list yet, but has picked up four offers now - including one from a nearby school - and expects several others soon.

"I have offers from Mississippi Sate, Kansas, USF, and Eastern Michigan," he said. "Connecticut and Buffalo are supposed to be coming down. The head coach from Connecticut is coming down and he is supposed to offer.

"Last week Nebraska and South Florida came by and (Florida head coach) Urban Meyer was there. The head coach Alabama, coach Mike Shula, called my coach and said he wants to see me throw. NC State and Tulane said they were interested. Ohio State is supposed to come too."
