Newton and Oklahoma could be linking up

They say that in desperate times people will start to believe in next to anything, be it 'signs', 'karma', astrology or whatever is the cultish belief system at that moment.

Well it's hard to imagine a tougher time befalling Oklahoma football fans than what has transpired in the past week, however Sooner coaches rather than falling on silly cosmic beliefs have been doing their homework to find suitable replacements under center.

One such name is Atlanta Westlake three-star Cameron Newton. The 6-foot-4, 232-pound Newton first emerged in the consciousness of Sooner fans after drawing rave reviews from Sooner target, and the nation's No. 1 wide receiver, Terrance Toliver.
