Pryor returns from Ohio State

Jeannette, Pa. quarterback Terrelle Pryor took his first official visit of the recruiting year to Ohio State to watch the No. 1 Buckeyes defeat Wisconsin. So how did it go for the 6-foot-6, 235-pounder?

"The visit was good, I was hosted by Cameron Heyward and he was cool," said Pryor. "I got to spend a lot of time with the coaching staff and a lot of time with coach Tressel. I've been to Ohio State before but I got to see a whole lot more this time."

Pryor met with many current players and potential recruits on the visit.

"That was probably the best part," he said. "Mike (Michael Brewster and J.B. (J.B. Shugarts) were there so I knew them. J.B. is crazy, he's fun to hang around and I know Mike really well, so it was comfortable. There were a few other recruits there as well and I got to know them."

The big quarterback also got to meet with the coaches and sit in on the quarterback meetings.

"That was really interesting because I got to see how they do their checkdowns and reads," he said. "They told me that they gear their offense around the talents of the quarterback so if I went there things would be different then they are now. They want to give the quarterback the best chance to succeed."

Pryor also spent a little time with basketball coach Thad Matta.

"I still want to try to play both sports so it's important to have that relationship," he said. "He's a good guy."

So how high does this set the bar when it comes to future visits?

"I'm not really sure, I'm still exploring," he said. "I don't get too excited about much other than touchdowns so I try to keep myself open-minded. It was a really good visit, the crowd was great and chanting my name and I felt really welcome."

Next up for Pryor? He's not really sure.

"It depends on our schedule, we look to go deep into the playoffs so I don't know," he said. "West Virginia is supposed to be next but I don't know when or what is going to happen there. I also want to see Florida for sure. I still think I'm dropping Texas soon and I have Tennessee and Penn State still on my list. I don't plan on making any decisions for a little while."
