Three Star Clark Verbals UW

Wyoming head coach Jay Sawvel and his recruiting staff picked up their first commitment for their 2025 class when athlete Jovan Clark, a three-star Rivals.com prospect decided on the Cowboys.

The Chicago Morgan Park High School product received over 20 scholarship offers including the Cowboys, Kansas, UNLV, Boston College, Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, and Missouri, among many others.

Clark is a prospect for multiple positions, though he could find himself in the defensive backfield in college. The 6-foot and 200 pound player from the 2025 class visited Laramie during the week of June 4th and his interest really progressed following the trip to UW.

"Wyoming really picked things up with me a few weeks ago and the staff at Wyoming really liked my junior season video. I'd say within a week's span it went from a DM to them calling and offering me a scholarship," Clark explained to EdgyTim.com back in April. "I really like the coaches at Wyoming including Coach Benny Boyd who has been aware of me since my sophomore year. I know Wyoming plays in the Mountain West and that they are a winning program and they play good football. Wyoming also wants me to come out and make a visit to see them soon."

Clark is the first known commitment for first season head coach Jay Sawvel's 2025 class. Early signing period for the upcoming class is scheduled for Mid-December.
